Jordanian Romanian shoe designer Amina Muaddi pulls off a stellar summer with Beyonce’s Greece pop-up video

DUBAI: From accessorizing American singer Beyonce in her latest music video to opening a pop-up installation in Mykonos, Jordanian-Romanian shoe designer Amina Muaddi has grabbed headlines with her latest work.

This week, Beyonce released a teaser for her song “I am that girl», the opening title of his latest album « Renaissance ».

In the 3-minute music video, the American superstar wears fishnet stockings from Muaddi’s 2021 collaboration with Austrian brand Wolford.

The Amina Muaddi x Wolford collection included form-fitting tights and leggings, as well as jumpsuits, dresses and a muscle jumpsuit with built-in heels that hug the body like a glove. The designers opted for latex, lace, viscose jersey and durable leather in the offer.

One of the brands Beyonce champions in her music video is luxury fashion house Alaia, founded by the late Tunisian fashion designer Azzedine Alaia.

She also wore pieces from renowned brands such as Burberry, Mugler, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Miu Miu, Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin and many more.

Meanwhile, Muaddi, the creator of the stars, gave her 1.3 million Instagram followers a glimpse of her pop-up installation in Mykonos.

She shared images from the exhibit and wrote, “If you’re in Mykonos this summer, stop by our pop-up installation at my favorite @luisaworld shop in Nammos Village, Psarou Beach. Drop 2/22 available in store.

Last week, the shoe designer released a new campaign for her latest collection called “Drop 2/22”, which featured Moroccan Egyptian model Imaan Hammam and celebrated her Arab roots.

The short clips, shared on Muaddi and Hammam’s Instagram accounts, were filmed in Cairo.

The footage was captured by British Egyptian filmmaker and photographer Dexter Navy and featured Hammam in several scenarios, including standing next to a white Arabian horse and posing on intricately woven rugs.

She posed for photos alongside women and men wearing traditional outfits and bejeweled headwear and faces.

Muaddi’s offerings include strappy block stilettos, satin pointed-toe pumps and sheer platforms adorned with the designer’s signature shimmering detailing.

The collection includes not only the designer’s glitzy creations, but also her expanded collection of handbags and jewelry.
