It’s no secret that Kate Bock is a successful model, but there’s so much more to blonde beauty. Case in point: She collaborated with Australian swimwear line eye-linkin addition to becoming Chief Brand Officer for Tipsy“the first premium hard sparkling water served in a shareable, resealable glass bottle,” according to to the website.
As for how the 34-year-old starts her day, she dresses up and takes her dog, Vestry, for a walk. “I make the exact same breakfast every day because I love it, and it works for me. I make two scrambled eggs, I have my coffee, I have Kite Hill cream cheese,” said the Sports Illustrated the star tells exclusively United States. “I train at Gotham Gym in New York and go see my trainer – I love it for the workout and for the social aspect. We always have fun there and then I usually jump on a bunch of calls.
Bock has been reserved and busy, and talking about Tipsy and Bond-Eye are two things she’s passionate about. “Pompette is a product that I discovered thanks to Sports Illustrated. They had freebies, and I tried it, and as soon as I saw it, the bottle was aesthetically pleasing, it looked good, and it’s sparkling seltzer water – it’s low in calories, it’s clean, it’s low in sugar. I tried it, and I really liked it.
She then figured out how to work with the brand, which she figured out, as she now does a lot of their PR and marketing, in addition to promoting the brand at various events. Since then, the Canada native has been able to see the business from a whole new perspective. “It’s really interesting and so much fun to learn about a brand this way,” she notes. “I think people can sense insincerity and when you actually believe in something it’s so easy to talk about it.”
Additionally, Bond-Eye reached out to Bock to “do a collaborative line, and it was so much fun working with them,” she notes. “I really enjoyed this creative process, and again, I had mood boards all over my office and I was choosing colors, textures, and themes.”
Bock was able to “creatively lead the campaign”, which was a pleasure to be behind the camera rather than in front of, as she is a well-known model. “I got to do the set and set the mood and pick the hair and the makeup and kind of do everything to create the whole brand aesthetic and it was so much fun,” she exclaims. “It’s been a huge hit and it’s been bought in so many different stores and retailers. It was really exciting to see him succeed and the fact that I could be a part of it is amazing.
After being on the other side, Bock reveals that she has “a whole new appreciation for when I’m on the model on set” because she wants to “help a client be successful.” You realize that it’s been so much work that has gotten them to this point, and they’ve made so many decisions along the way. I think understanding what they want really helps.
Clearly, Bock is on her way to becoming a successful entrepreneur, something she never expected.
“It’s really cool. I’m so drawn to certain things aesthetically or creatively, and I love being able to bring my dreams/vibes/feelings/aesthetics to life, and I hope people will be drawn in by it,” said the star, who when she was younger would tear up some magazine articles to create a mood board, says of trying so many different things. “I think I get really good feedback from the part of people who seem to really understand my aesthetic.”
“I think there is so much more to do in fashion and jewelry,” she adds. “I’ve done swimming, which I love, but there’s so much else to do in fashion and clothing, but also in beauty. I feel like the options are limitless, there are so many brands that I love and would like to be associated with or that inspire me, there is so much to work with!
When Bock started, she told her agent she wanted to be “the next Kathy Irelandas she built a massive brand and became a household name. “I think she has such a nice balance in it all, so I hope to be able to talk to her soon and work with her on a project, which would be a moment of panic for me! She really inspired me from the start, so I feel like everything I set out to do comes to life, which is a dream come true,” she shares.
On top of all that, Bock is currently planning his wedding to a basketball player Kevin Love. Although there are stressful times, Bock feels lucky to be able to “create the event of our dreams.”
“I’m really lucky that Kevin and I have the same visual aesthetic and the same eye – with the interior design and everything, we’re very aligned and the same with the wedding,” she admits. “We’re totally on the same page, and it’s so much fun bouncing it all off him. We can create our dream night with all of our favorite people, with our favorite music, with our favorite food at our favorite place.
While she may be in wedding planning mode, it’s no surprise that Bock is working on several other collaborative lines, which she can’t talk about yet, but she says it’s “really cool when something again comes out every few months”. I feel very lucky.
“I think being infinitely curious in our work is really what will drive you forward – just talking to everyone and being engaged when you’re on set and learning the most from each situation – that will keep you going. prepare for your future,” she advises.
