Missy Elliott shows off a diamond chain with a self-portrait pendant inspired by ‘The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)’

Missy Elliott recently cut a new piece of ice cream that is worth checking out! The music industry icon hopped on Instagram over the weekend to flex her personalized diamond necklace. Her new string featured a pendant inspired by Missy’s hit song “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)”.

She didn’t share many details about the custom piece. At this time, it is unknown how many parts Missy spent on the chain or how long it took to make them. However, Missy’s face and influence are definitely at the forefront of her creation.

Missy’s Instagram post included a video of the detailed piece. She credited B&B Jewelry in her caption for completing her personalized chain. The chain itself is a work of art made up of white and gold diamonds. However, the charm is what catches any eye familiar with Missy’s legendary work.

Her pendant serves as a self-portrait inspired by her music video “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)”. Released in 1995, the first single featured fashion looks that are remembered and still recreated to this day. Missy’s new pendant, in particular, is influenced by the trash bag outfit worn in the video. The charm features the same makeup, helmet, and even facial expression as the real deal.
