Meet Florida native Olivia Caputo in Tampa, who has established herself as one of the city’s most in-demand content creators. Always impeccable in a major outfit with an even bigger smile, she’s a beloved friend of the Daily and we thought it was time to find out a little more about the dreamer with bright eyes and determined soul behind the brilliant Instagram feed. Here’s what you need to know …

What is your story?
I studied media / communications at Florida State University. I did some TV internships and my first job in New York was with POPSUGAR. I have always loved digital content in all its forms!

In what year did you decide to start creating content?
I do not even know ! I feel like a person on the edge of the millennial and gen Z [brackets], I’ve always created content! However, it only became a full time job for me in 2018.

Have you always planned to be based in New York?
My dreams of becoming a full time influencer, content creator and beyond brought me here. I knew from an early age that I was made for the city. When I realized the potential of what I had started to build on social media, I found a part-time job at POPSUGAR to move here and pursue my dreams. And it was the best decision I ever made.

What do you like best about what you do?
Meet the most amazing people. I am constantly surrounded by motivated, intelligent and hardworking people in this industry. You are the person you surround yourself with and I am very lucky to have met so many amazing people who motivate me to be the best version of myself every day.

What are the “pinch me” moments?
To attend the Daily Front Row The Fashion Media Awards are always an event that pinches me! During these last FMAs, I was a few places away from Gigi Hadid, Candice Swanepoel, Elsa Hosk, Irina Shayk, Precious Lee and so many other incredible women that I have admired for years!

What’s an average day for you?
If only I knew !! Every day is so different for me. I would say a perfect day for me consists of Pilates in the morning, meetings in the afternoon, photoshoots during the golden hour, and fun events with my favorite brands in the evening.

Personal style formula?
Right now I really like neutral tones with a pop of color here and there. My favorite way to use color is in my shoes or my handbag. You can never go wrong with layers of gold jewelry either!

The most worn items in your wardrobe?
TikTok’s famous Zara jeans are definitely worth a shot and I wear mine all the time. I also love my Blank NYC faux leather pants for all occasions.

Tell us about this shoot that you shared.
Marina Williams from Marina Williams Photography is a dear friend of mine from college. When we were at FSU, we toured together all the time. It was around the time Marina was studying photography and I was starting to develop my Instagram. Looking back at our old work together makes us laugh, but it’s also extremely heartwarming to see how far we’ve both come. For this shoot, I flew to Utah to visit her and she is still planning the most epic concepts and filming locations. It’s awesome because not only do we create amazing photos together, but I also take the great Utah landscape tour! Both of these shoots took place in the sand dunes of Little Sahara and the canyons of Spanish Fork. Marina is truly the most talented photographer I have ever worked with and she is also an incredible friend.

What’s the one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I have two rods and 22 screws in my spine; I had spinal fusion surgery to correct scoliosis in 2012.

What’s the biggest dream you still want to achieve?
I want to develop my modeling career and have the opportunity to be the face of one of my favorite brands. I also want to become a correspondent on E! News for special events and shows.
