DO YOU WANT to look slimmer, taller and more expensive like models do on catwalks and in magazines?
A modeling industry pro has advice for people who want to look as good as her.
TikToker and model Liz Seibert posted a video breaking down some of the things she’s learned over the years.
While pursuing her modeling career, she amassed over a million followers on TikTok.
She begins her video by saying, “I’m going to show you some fashion secrets that all models use.”
Her first piece of advice concerns the tops you choose to wear with jeans.
She says: “Models don’t usually wear crop tops because they make you look smaller.
“Instead, try a bodysuit that tucks into your pants. It creates the illusion of length because it doesn’t cut through your body in the middle like a crop top does.”
Her second piece of advice concerns the colors you choose to wear.
“It’s important to think about the colors you combine,” she says.
“If you’re wearing a dark top over a light bottom, the contrast will cut your body and make you look smaller.
“Instead, try wearing similar shades up and down. The continuous shade will create an illusion of length, making you look much taller.
“The same effect can be achieved with an entirely lightweight or neutral outfit. If for some reason you wanted to look shorter, just do the opposite.”
Her final tip is about how you complete your overall look.
She says: “Finish your outfit with some fancy jewelry and a nude manicure.
“It will make you look easy but expensive, which is exactly what customers want.
“Of course, never wear your hair tie on your wrist – or you won’t be booked for a [modeling] work!”
A few hundred people responded in Liz’s comments section on TikTok about her fashion tips from a model’s perspective.
One person wrote, “I’ve noticed my favorite models have really simple nails, not Instagram nails.”
“I love you so much. I’m only 5’2” and I want to be a commercial model. This is so helpful,” another person added.
