Yesterday rumors emerged that Freddie Gibbs had been attacked by associates of Benny the Butcher and had his chain ripped off. The alleged escalation of the beef of the two rappers has caused a stir on the Internet. Now Freddie has responded to the claims that have swirled.

Legendary rapper Gary was filmed at a jewelry store showing off his chains to the camera. In the video, a man next to him displays the date on his phone. “Monday, May 16,” the man said. “The jewels are there.”

Gibbs appears upbeat in the video, laughing as he looks at the camera and says, “Produce the stolen jewels you say you have.”

The feud between Benny the Butcher and Gibbs has been going on for a few months now. Although Benny says he doesn’t know how it started, it seems the first instance of conflict came when Benny said an opportunity for them to collaborate “came and went.”

The verbal fight only heated up. Benny the Butcher claimed Gibbs “begged” him to join him on a track, while Gibbs hinted he had bars for Benny on an upcoming song and joked about the flight where Benny received a bullet in the leg. After the alleged beating of associates of Benny the Butcher in Buffalo, Gibbs was photographed playing with what looked like a swollen eye.

Freddie has had his fair share of beef with rappers, including an ongoing feud with Gunna. Recently, he took to Twitter to acknowledge that he was sometimes the instigator of his multiple beefs. Time will tell how this one with Benny will evolve.
